Lunar Eclipse Ponies Visit Carers and Sporting Memories Groups

We recently welcomed Daisy and Smarty, two miniature therapy ponies from Lunar Eclipse EFL Therapy Horses CIC, for a scheduled visit with our Carers and Sporting Memories groups.

These visits are part of an ongoing partnership with Lunar Eclipse, a Stirling-based community interest company that provides non-ridden equine-facilitated learning (EFL) and therapy services. Their work focuses on improving mental well-being, promoting social interaction, and offering accessible experiences with horses for individuals and groups across various settings.

During the visit, participants had the opportunity to engage with the ponies through grooming, walking, and conversation. These activities are designed to encourage relaxation, stimulate memory recall, and support emotional regulation in a calm and structured environment.

Lunar Eclipse offers a range of services including:

• Care home and school visits

• Workplace and doorstep sessions

• Wellness walks with miniature horses

• Public speaking and community outreach

All staff are insured, disclosure-checked, and operate under licenses from Stirling and Warrington Councils.
