We’re in the customer vote for a Bags of Help grant from Tesco. It’s a scheme which gives community projects like us grants of up to £4,000 – all raised from the sale of carrier bags in Tesco stores. The public will now vote in store during November and December on who should receive the awards. Please support us in the Alloa store! More info at www.tesco.com/bagsofhelp
A huge thank-you to Declan from Ciara's Cars Alloa for his very generous donation to the Centre. The money will be used to help fund various youth activities.
The first week of the Easter holidays, and the Hawkhill Community Centre youth group set off an adventure to the Great Glen in the beautiful Highlands. The weather was kind(ish), and everyone had a tremendous time. Special thanks to Clem and Erin at the Great Glen Hostel, all the staff at Active Highs, and to Keith Jack for driving the minibus. New children's group Hawkhill Juniors had a visit from Jog Scotland's Jog Scotty.
Jog Scotty introduced the kids to various exercises and games to promote children's keep fit in a fun and creative way. In the future the group hope to hold more sessions. |
