A message from our chair
Hello everyone,
I’ve been Chair of Hawkhill Community Association for just over six years now, and I can honestly say I’ve never been prouder of what we’ve achieved together.
When I look back to 2019 and see how far we’ve come as a community, it’s truly inspiring.
Here are just a few of the things we’ve created with your help and support:
Our Outdoor Gym – A free space where anyone can get active, enjoy the fresh air, and stay healthy without the cost of a traditional gym.
The Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) – A brilliant spot for football, basketball, and just having fun together.
Community Garden and Sensory Memorial Space – A peaceful place to grow, reflect, and remember.
Memorial to the Accused Witches of Scotland – We’re honoured to now be recognised on raws.scotas a place where people can learn about and remember those innocent lives lost. A big thank you to Craigbank Primary School and Gillian Burgon (CAB) for helping us make this happen.
Polytunnel and Mini Farm – A wonderful way for the community to grow fresh fruit, veg, flowers and herbs, which you’ll see in our shop and soon in our café.
Community Shop – Serving more than 120 people every week with affordable food, toiletries and essentials, plus PayPoint services.
Partnerships Across Clackmannanshire – We’ve built strong links so we can reach even more people who might need a hand.
And we’re not stopping there – we’ve got even bigger plans for the next few years, and we can’t wait to share them with you right here on our new website.
If you’d like to get involved, why not join our Board? It’s a wonderful way to be part of something truly special happening here in this corner of Clackmannanshire.
